Yes, emulators indeed do have options. Lots of them in fact. I should have known there'd be one for adjusting how the colors look on GBC games. I'm using the SameBoy core in RetroArch but from what I understand many cores and standalone emulators may have a similar option and depending on the emulator or core it may or may not be on by default. Here it's called GBC Color Correction but it may be called Accurate Color or something else entirely depending on the emulator. I also want to point out that my phone doesn't pickup the colors on my IPS GBC perfectly accurate to how it looks in person. I had to adjust the white balance on my camera (phone) to get it to look closer to how it does in person. I will say in person my IPS GBC looks very similar to my monitor (also an IPS display BTW!) but what you've seen in other videos may not be %100 accurate and hell, how it looks on YOUR display may not be all that accurate either! So just play the games however you want. I mean pick the option that looks best for you and run with it!
