Game Developers Leak Surprise for Pirates
what happens when a game studio goes bankrupt due to piracy? That's what developer duo Patrick and Daniel Klug of Greenhart Games ask with the release of Game Developer Tycoon. The game costs $7.99, but the developers leaked a cracked version...with a few extra lines of code.
The change made it so that the player would eventually see the end of their game developing career end in bankruptcy.
Does this change how you feel about game piracy? Will this stunt change the conversation about piracy, or was it merely a publicity stunt?
