In this video, Gazza's Super Soccer, released in 1989 for the Atari ST by Empire Software.
Endorsed by the English footballer Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne, this is obviously a soccer based game and a very simple one I must add. You load the game, select teams for a match, check some other options like match lenght and play. No intro, no players entering the field, only the referee whistling the beginning of the game. The play field is divided into 3 sections, 1 from side with you going left or right and 2 from behind with you going up and down.
Graphically the game has a minimalistic almost monochromatic menu while the playing section is nice with colored graphics and sprites. The audio is composed of standard sound fx, nothing new. There's no scrolling, instead there's a flip screen that ruins everything because, when it flips, you lose "the man who got the ball" partially ruining the IMHO already low playability. Controls are similar to the classic '80s soccer game with the ball glued to your feet.
Here you'll find gameplay.

All footage taken from original hardware machines and upscaled to 1080P.

Let me know what do you think about the video in the comments below but, most important, Enjoy!!!
If you liked the video, please consider giving a thumbs up and maybe also subscribe.

Thanks for watching.
