So which console was better at doing raycasting graphics without any additional hardware?

SNES does it at a lower resolution, but the Genesis uses some weird dithering and has some awful screen tearing. Both games cut out a lot of "inappropriate" content compared to the PC originals.

This imo is a more fair comparison than comparing the new homebrew Wolfenstein 3D with today's know how about the Genesis hardware and 3D programming and no budget or time limit constraints, vs. the official 1994 port where this kind of technology for video games was still relatively new and not optimized for consoles yet, and they had a limited budget and time.

Also, the SNES game allows you to circle strafe, while the Genesis game shown in this video has damn near unplayable controls.
