Most text is available in Russian. Items are shown with icons, names, and descriptions. Plenty of menus show you copious options and statistics. Goals for quests are expressed in short phrases. Character dialogue comes in longer sentences. More verbosity can be found in creature references and controls manual. Monster Hunter: World is good for beginners in learning to read Russian.
There is no Russian speech, so it won't exercise listening. You can try playing it in French or Japanese!
