Sims 4 is a Western life simulator. You create and customize your people, build a house, and engage in all sorts of social shenaniganerry. The variety of shenanigannery expands commensurately with the number of expansion packs one owns. You could have an alien college student, an immortal that harvests the dreams of others, a kleptoscientist mermaid, or a vampiric social network star with a penchant for public peckishness.

Much of the text is available in Russian. Clicking various objects pops up a menu with mostly single verbs and nouns, making it easy to figure out their corresponding actions. All items have icons, descriptions of their effects and additional flavor text. Notifications of all sorts appear in the upper right corner, usually spanning a few sentences. Sims 4 is excellent for beginners in learning the Russian language, since most consequences are immediately apparent and generally not game-endingly dire, and the required literacy level is low while still providing more challenging text for flavor.

All speech is in Simlish, so it won't exercise listening in Russian. Play enough Sims, and even the Simlish will start to make sense.
