Fedora will not last long without updating your desktop. Fedora 35 Llego this Tuesday, and did so with the latest version that was available at the time. Just three days later, the project that provides a graphical environment, applications and library in its main edition It launched GNOME 41.1 , which is the first maintenance update in this series. As such, it does not introduce any new accents, but introduces adjustments that will make everything work better and more reliably.
Remember that with GNOME 40 it became a very important step forward. Although new attractive features such as touch gestures were introduced, they also managed to improve performance. That performance is even better in the GNOME 41 they gave us in September, so I think Fedora 35 users will be a little happier than Ubuntu 21.10 Impish Indri users.
GNOME Highlights 41.1
GNOME Shell has improved the updating of icons when they are hidden, the GTK color selector, high-contrast changes have been improved, the mobility in GTK applications has been improved, and the support of voice files in notifications.
GNOME software may require add-ons, among other enhancements, such as the codec installation process.
Nautilus can now hide the Scripts and New Document menus to avoid delays, offering an option to skip the process when extracting the file only fails when there are more files, among other improvements.
Phone app upgrades and GNOME Connections, which can now fill in incomplete addresses.
GNOME Builder now provides the user's system or font when launching an application.
The control center has adjusted the data activation after configuring an APN in the network panel.
Mutter and Wayland upgrades, among other adjustments and performance improvements.
GNOME 41.1 was launched yesterday shortly after v40.5 . Some applications will appear on Flathub in the coming days, while for desktop and other things it is worth waiting for our Linux distribution to add new packages to its official repositories.

Releases 41.1 of GNOME Shell and GNOME Mutter have been announced. It is stated that translation updates are made in the new versions of both software. GNOME Mutter reportedly improved the onscreen keyboard in X11, while erratic scrolling in GTK apps has also been fixed.
