God of War on Android TV with Cloud Gaming by Nvidia - Part 14: Tyr's Vault
In this video I show you how God of War works on Android TV using Nvidia's Cloud Gaming service. This is part 14 of this series, where I follow the adventure of Kratos and his son Atreus in the world of Norse mythology. God of War is an action-adventure game that was released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and that recently arrived on PC with graphical and performance improvements.
In the previous episode, Kratos and Atreus managed to defeat Mattugr Helson, the lord of fire and the king of the dead, and tore out his heart to take it to the Witch of the Woods, who turned out to be Freya, Odin's ex-wife and Baldur's mother, the god who chases them. Freya needed the heart to cure Atreus of a strange disease that caused his fury when he faced Modi, Thor's son. Upon obtaining the heart, Kratos saw an illusion of Zeus, his father, in the sky, reminding him of his past as the Greek God of War. Kratos and Mimir, the wise man whose head they cut off to help them on their journey, returned with Freya and gave her the heart. Freya revived Mimir and cured Atreus, but also revealed to Kratos that she had a son whom she had not seen for a long time. What Kratos does not know is that that son is Baldur, the stranger who tried to kill him at the beginning of the game. Atreus, for his part, learned that he was a god, the son of Kratos and Faye, a giantess from Jötunheim.
In this episode, Kratos, Mimir and Atreus continue their journey to Jötunheim, the realm of the giants, where they hope to find answers about Faye's fate and Atreus' purpose. To get there, they need to find a way to open the door between worlds that is in Tyr's Temple, the Norse god of war. Tyr was a fair and peaceful god who traveled between realms and earned the respect of all races. However, Odin locked him in a secret chamber within the temple and stole his secrets. Kratos and Atreus will have to explore Tyr's Vault, an area full of traps, puzzles and enemies, to find a way to free Tyr and access the door to Jötunheim.
