Allllll aboard the Monster Train! This deckbuilding, roguelite card game is a blast so I decided to do a live stream and hit up some runs with the new (to me) Umbra faction. Along for the ride is the crazy blend of The Demon and the Fairy from 3 Magnets Brewing. Toot toot!

After hundreds of hours sunk into Slay the Spire, a worthy successor has finally come into the station. Monster Train is a masterful blend of deck building, rogue-lite, tower defense, and boss rush features that coalesces into an addictive and fun loop that I just can't get enough of. If you like Slay the Spire, I highly recommend Monster Train.

Now onto the beer: for this game I pulled out all the stops. The 2nd beer is a crazy blend of an imperial stout aged in a combination of bourbon and wine barrels for two years, finished on vanilla beans, and then bottle conditioned with boysenberry puree. The result after 3 years in the cellar was closer to a dark sour, but a very interesting beer for sure!

Monster Train is a roguelike deck building game with over 200 cards, 88 artifacts and a swathe of upgrades for any card in your deck. This makes each run and strategy truly unique. Take on challenging enemies as you level up your monster clans and covenant - you’ll never play the same deck twice.

Before the Covenant, each Ring of Hell existed and evolved independently of each other. Being so different in their respective ecosystems and proximity to the Pyre, they developed different beings, cultures, and a society.
