We start off at Tamborine Mountain and the Tamborine National Park where we headed to Curtis Falls, a picturesque natural waterfall surrounded by dense forest and wildlife.
The information board reads...
"The waterfall before you is called Curtis Falls after the Curtis family. Several siblings moved to Tamborine Mountain in the late 1870s, not long after the first European settlers arrived on the plateu."
It was a good chance to stretch out legs and get some fresh air. We saw what I think was a Potaroo or some sort of small rock wallaby and there was also a turkey walking around just near the car park, probably looking for a bite to eat.
Afterwards we grabbed lunch and headed to Cedar Creek Falls another waterfall, but this time without too many barriers so people could actually touch and jump into the water.
It was made up of two waterfalls with a small pond-like platform separating them.
We were flying home the next day so this was our last full day up at the Gold Coast and it was good to wind down with something a little more relaxing.
