It's been almost 2 years since I last had a hit of tennis, a game that I was never coached or trained in or had much of an interest until I was in my late teens and early 20's.
I take on veteran Gavin on a gorgeous 24 degree Melbourne day out at the Nunawading Tennis Club. Because we are so unfit and unconditioned, the weather took it's toll on us even before we started playing.
I knew I had to take it to Gav, as the last time we played he pinned me to the back of the court and dictated play from the net. Also me serving consistently better helped and I also had to go for a few winners when I had the chance. A break of serve from both players and some lucky shots going in now and then kept the interest up.
All in all, a good hit and something we need to do more often. Thanks Gavin for the game.
