My first impressions of Goop Loop, focused mostly on gameplay. Goop loop is a physics based platformer and master of frustration. Although simple in theory the game is incredly hard and even more punishing when you make a mistake. I walkthrough my first 60 minutes of gameplay with commentary and deliver my final thoughts in a review format at the end of the video.


Goop Loop reminds me of Getting Over It in the way that it's framed, and the way it penalises the player for mistakes. Combined with a snarky announcer who judges your every move you're left infuriated by your inability to complete seemingly simple tasks whilst being mocked. This spurs me on, giving me something to prove against the sarcastic commentator who mocks me so.


If you like to suffer then this game is for you. If you like to watch people suffer then this video is for you. Personally, I'm always up for a challenge and in fact favour the obscenely difficulty or even trolly games, so let's see if we can keep our cool with this one and push on to the end.
