GreedFall (Xbox One X) - Gameplay
Welcome to Game Play. A series, of sorts, where I check out various video games and share my immediate experiences with you.
Today we're taking a look at GreedFall on the Xbox One X.
GreedFall is a surprisingly good RPG that has managed to keep me at it for hours on end. The storylines in both the main and multiple side quests are wonderfully executed and narrated offering a wide variety of objectives, twists and decisions along the way.
The gameplay is simple on the surface yet engaging and advanced via its tactical options and possibilities much like what's found in titles from BioWare. In fact, it can be so similar to BioWare's earlier works that it sometimes feels like playing Dragon Age or even Mass Effect.
Along the way you'll come across several companions that will aid you on your journey through the vast, open lands and cities. You can have two companions following you at all times, and each will offer a storyline that will help determine your relationship with them. Each companion also acts to your decisions, and there are also multiple factions you can engage with that will react to your actions and decisions.
All in all, the game is a hidden gem and I highly recommend anyone with an interest in RPG's to check it out.
The game was recorded directly on the console to an external HDD. No postwork has been done.
