I'm going to admit up front that the game kind of teased me. You'll see a part where it made it look like I just might be able to get to a tantalizing spot on the map, but... Watch what it did to me.

Also... I've reported before that the game looks and plays very well on the GTX 970, but when I started the game, I was curiously stuck at around 30fps. It seems that it's an issue with that particular "safe area" on the map. The entire rest of the map (including another safe area) gave me 60fps (I keep VSynch on, sadly), so it seems to be isolated to that one area.

I will also note that "view distance" in the options menu does affect frame rate. I fiddled with that in the video, and if you keep yours about where I put it (with a GTX 970), you can reasonably expect a solid 60fps in 1080p with all of the other settings at their highest.

Decreasing the view distance normally does not affect much at all, but in some settings, it can allow for pop-in. I'll continue to try to find the setting that allows a steady 60fps on a reliable basis while giving as little pop-in as possible. When I find that magic setting, I will put it in this info box.
