How often do you really need to wash your bath towels? Talking Point sent eight towels from different households to a lab to test them for bacteria and fungi. 🔬

What we found: It’s not just about how often you wash your bath towel - factors like how often you use it, your home environment, and even the material it's made of can all influence bacterial and fungal growth. 🦠

But how worried should you be? It depends on your skin. If you have a sensitive skin condition like eczema, or a compromised skin barrier like crusted skin, you’re more vulnerable to skin infections. In such cases, you should exercise more caution, said Dr Angeline Yong from Angeline Yong Dermatology.

Watch the full episode for the full breakdown on what’s really lurking on your bath towels and how to keep them clean.
