So the Dry Top is pretty neat, the way it works is you complete events to earn the favor of the Zephyrites, the more favor your earn the higher the tier. The higher the tier the better the stuff/cheaper cost.

When the sandstorm comes, well that's all the time you had to earn favor. After the sandstorm is done it'll reset but during the sandstorm some unique events spawn, enemies change and it gets a lot more dangerous at times to move around.

This video was recorded during this little mid-season break we have so it has the entire Dry Top map revealed, well unless they plan to expand more but I think it's big enough now at this point.

Yes I decided to get a Commander tag, I promise not to abuse it. I just try to turn it on when doing events mostly.

00-Slay the colocal queen, it can hurt a lot as you see, I prefer ranged at least for a Mesmer with how she can just charge you. Killing her children also makes her stronger so best to kill her.

2:26-Drive the Mordrem away from the vine bridge planting area, this one was pretty nasty. Quite a few were killed lol. The zerg is rather unfocused on this one.

5:13-Stop the skritt from stealing Zephyrite crystals and returning them to their queen, easy one really. I dunno the purpose of it, just foreshadowing the Skritt have a Queen here.

7:42-Defeat Queen Chrii'kkt IV and her royal subjects. This one is NASTY. Make sure the zerg is with you before attempting this one. She has 8 followers all of whom hurt you with really nasty AOE. The Queen herself is immune to ALL damage until her follows are all defeated. Her Queen's Love move will also disable your weapon skills for 15 seconds so beware. Once all of her subjects are dead though she's not so bad. You get the Ruler of the Shinies achievement for defeating her. This event will only happen during a Sandstorm at tier 4 or higher.

12:59-Protect Researcher Eway while he investigates inert dust mites. This one..Pretty standard really. The noteworthy thing however is you'll get the achievement Sand Shield by preventing Researcher Eway from falling below 25% health during a Challenger Cliffs sandstorm. Pretty damn easy for the most part.

15:35-Defeat the Inquest Experimental Aspect Golem. This one...Wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. This thing can hit hard but it doesn't do a whole if you're ranged. Love how you fail the event via the pilot getting bored if too much time passes.

17:59-Save the chickens trapped in the dust mite twister. That's right, Chickenado! Your goal is to save all the chickens which can be tricky lol. Melee supposedly is better for it but I was fine with ranged. You need to hit the Chickenado and catch the chickens safely. If you fail to do so they'll get stuck in the ground and be harder to rescue. Chickenado Chaser is given upon successfully catching a chicken. This event is easier with more people of course but the zerg neglects it sadly....How can you farm if you don't save the chickens and Tyria from the threat of Chickenado?!

The rest was just a way I decided to end things lol since I remember I used to end videos with dancing, this was sort of a dance.

I wanted to show more but some events are tricky, ones we failed when I attempted or ones this megaserver won't even try to complete. Oh well that's life folks. Got most of the best events recorded at least. Maybe I will do one last part eventually. Dry Top is a cool area it deserves all this.
