Literally my first time playing the game here so go easy. This is the intro Stage, 1st Sumeragi.

No commentary, I feel it's best this way. This is the English version also so we have less voices it seems which...is unfortunate but oh well, we must be thankful we're even getting this game but next time there's no excuse for cutting stuff out if there's a sequel!

This is a very awesome 3DS game from Inti Creates. However it has a plot all its own and some key differences. The "buster" or pistol in this case isn't meant to be your mean method of attack, it's pretty weak. It's just there to setup for tagging so you can then unleash your electric power to annihilate enemies. Of course you eventually get some new weapons too but they come from leveling up, not killing the bosses and taking their weapons.

The difficulty thus far isn't too bad, the game is mostly about going for the high scores instead of survival. The higher your score the more items you'll get at the end of a stage. Getting a high score means..Well going fast, not getting hit, etc.Getting SS on stage can be quite a challenge. There's also a way to turn on instant death spikes and all of that so Gunvolt can be about as hard as you make it really. Bosses are really great and make up the bulk of the challenge from what I've played.

I could have probably done a bit better myself but this was literally my first time playing the game. Gotta play it a bit different than Megaman games of the past too. Need to get the hang of using electric power more since it regens anyhow and can protect from some enemy projectiles as this intro stage teaches you. Also I need to well rely on the default weapon less due to this.

Also, if you download this game be sure to pick up Mighty Gunvolt which you get for FREE with purchase UNTIL November 28th. Your redemption could is on your receipt so you'll probably need to write/type it down somewhere before redeeming. Mighty Gunvolt I may record a bit of too but it's a fun little bonus kind of like the Model A retro game in ZX but slightly bigger and gives you the choice of Gunvolt, Beck from Mighty No 9 or Ekoro from Galgun.

All in all, well worth the 14.99 US easily! Highly recommend this game if you've got a 3DS with wi-fi since it is sadly download only.

Next time I record I think I'll cut out the bottom screen it doesn't do a whole lot for the viewers. Also I believe this is DEFINITELY one such game where playing it blind can be disservice if you're recording/uploading it. There's also some hidden things to find in the stages too. Better to show the viewers more polished runs of stages IMO since your first runs of a stage may be rough figuring out the gimmicks and surprises that may catch you off guard.

Let's hope this game becomes a series and we can get physical copies!
