Gujarat Gas’ Channel Checks Suggest Muted Volume Offtake | Morbi Region | Latest Business News
8Gujarat Gas generates nearly half of its revenue from the Morbi region, and according to Antique Stock Broking’s channel check, propane consumption is now 60% of the overall fuel demand. Morbi region is one of the world’s largest ceramic manufacturing hubs. The current energy consumption in the Morbi region is 6.7 mmscmd which is closer to the pre-shutdown level. Of the total consumption, propane volume is 4 mmscmd, while gas is 2.7 mmscmd as compared to 4.6 mmscmd of gas supplied in Q1FY23. The brokerage also said that the domestic demand for ceramic continues to remain relatively muted despite the month-long shutdown. However, exports are relatively better off.
