[Synopsis]

This video is a retro game play video of Gyrodine which was a side scrolling action game from 1986 produced by Taito. This game was only released in Japan for the Famicom Family Computer System. The Famicom was the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System, and it had a lot more features, like a 3.5" floppy disk drive. You didn't need a battery to save games on the Famicom, like the NES, because you can write data on a floppy disk. On a ROM(Read only Memory) chip, you couldn't write any data, so you needed a battery to save. In addition, you could have more elaborate games, because you could use multiple floppy disks. The cartridge had limits to how much you could store, and the memory volume was fixed.
