2Game Information: Half-Life 2: Episode Two is the second in a trilogy of new games created by Valve that extends the award-winning and best-selling Half-Life adventure.
As Dr. Gordon Freeman, you were last seen exiting City 17 with Alyx Vance as the Citadel erupted amidst a storm of unknown proportions.
In Episode Two, you must battle and race against Combine forces as you traverse the White Forest to deliver a crucial information packet stolen from the Citadel to an enclave of fellow resistance scientists.
Episode Two extends the award-winning Half-Life gameplay with unique weapons, vehicles, and newly-spawned creatures.
Chapter Information: Arriving at the Resistance base located at the top of Victory Mine, Gordon meets Griggs and Sheckley a duo of Rebels who are in charge of the small outpost.
After reuniting with his Voritugant ally from earlier, Gordon finds out that an endless swarm of Antlions will soon assault the Resistance base forcing Gordon, Griggs, and Sheckley to fend off dozens of Antlions from infesting the base.
After facing off many different waves of Antlions, an exhausted Gordon, Griggs, and Sheckley meet more Vortigaunts who have arrived to help heal Alyx.
After facing off against one last, massive wave of Antlions, Gordon and the Vortigaunt he previously met on the surface are tasked with acquiring an ancient Antlion extract that can properly heal Alyx located deep within the Antlion nest.
Working together with the Vortigaunt, the duo fights through cavernous tunnels infested with Antlions and Antlion Workers before fighting through ruined mining tunnels infested with Zombies and Headcrabs of all kinds.
After fighting through a ruined Resistance base filled with Antlions and Zombies that fight each other, Gordon and the Vortiguant encounter a rare Antlion Guardian which defends the inner sanctum from intruders that make it very far into the Antlion hive.
Forced to split up from the Vortiguant, Gordon narrowly avoids the Antlion Guardian several times by hiding in small caves infested with Antlion Grubs.
Reaching the inner sanctum at last, Gordon and the Vortigaunt retrieve the Antlion extract and return to the Resistance base located at the top of Victory Mine.
As the Vortigaunts prepare the ritual to heal Alyx, the G-Man intervenes and places Gordon back in stasis briefly and wishes for Gordon to safely deliver Alyx to White Forest.
After witnessing the G-Man intervening, Alyx wakens up from the Vortiguant ritual and thanks Gordon and the Vortigaunts for their help in saving her life.
Saying goodbye to the Resistance members of Victory Mine, Gordon, Alyx, and the Vortiguant encounter the Antlion Guardian again before the trio return to the surface and leave Victory Mine behind.
