Chapter Information: Inside the mining town of Ravenholm which used to be a significant Resistance stronghold full of City 17 Refugees, Gordon discovers that the town has become a horrifying nightmare bringing back memories of the worst moments from Black Mesa.
The entire mining town has become infected with thousands of Headcrabs and hundreds of Zombies ranging from the classic Headcrabs and Zombies to deadlier advanced variants such as the Fast and Poison variants of Headcrabs and Zombies.
Trapped in a pitch-black mining town with only his flashlight and with low ammunition lying around, Gordon is forced to use the Gravity Gun and a variety of different traps to eliminate the hordes of alien creatures.
Carefully, Gordon is able to navigate through the ruined houses, empty streets, large forests, and a nearby graveyard with the help of a lone priest known as Father Grigori who guides Gordon to the mines to escape Ravenholm occasionally providing assistance and guidance to Gordon about the town and the new Zombie types.
After fighting through a Headcrab-infested mine, Gordon returns to the surface near a railway yard and fights Combine Snipers, Combine Soldiers, and Headcrab Zombies near a Resistance base who are relieved to see Gordon alive and make contact with Alyx Vance over a communication system.
