Playing a new series custom campaign called Half-Life: Field Intensity. It is a campaign mod developed by Hazard Team and has more features than vanilla Half-Life: Opposing Force. This mod is unofficially connected to the original Half-Life games. However, it unfolds the events within the Black Mesa Research Facility.

The players will assume control of Cpl. Stefan Oldfield. An H.E.C.U. Marine, a member of the first squad who has been deployed to Black Mesa Research Facility to silence the witnesses and exterminate unknown hostile forces that invaded Black Mesa. Cpl. Oldfield's radio operator and an old friend, Kevin assist the player throughout the mission.

Storyline:
Corporal Stefan Oldfield, age 26, is deployed alongside the Hazardous Combat Environment Unit into the Black Mesa Research Facility. Overseeing the operation is Kevin, his old friend, who will provide insight and assistance as the operation progresses. Oldfield's squad is currently blocked by a large door, and you'll need to open the way for them.

Oldfield and Francis descend into the Black Mesa Dormitories, but an elevator malfunction forces the two to separate as they try to fix it in their own way. Kevin informs the squad about Gordon Freeman, and sends them to investigate his dormitory. Oldfield faces off against the aliens of Xen here, alongside any surviving Black Mesa Personnel. Upon freeing Francis from the trapped elevator, the two proceed further into the dormitories. Oldfield encounters Headcrabs, and more importantly, their zombies; a few of them have already turned the other half of Stefan's squad. Kevin orders Oldfield to proceed to Sector E in order to intercept Freeman. Due to the tram lines being out in this area, Oldfield has to take maintenance tunnels to reach there. Finding his way to the Gamma Labs, Oldfield is admitted entrance by a clueless scientist, who dies right after from a malfunctioning scanner.
