Hard Reset Redux is a First Person Shooter with a more classic design. It's in a way similar to Half Life 2, with the more linear level design and closed of chapters. But instead of Aliens that already conquered the world, you fight rogue machines. The game comes with a level-up system, where you find credits on the street, which are basically XP, since you get a skill point, when you collected a certain amount of credits. These skill points can be used at automated shops. With this you can unlock new types of weapons, upgrade your existing weapons, or by upgrades for your health, max ammo, near death slowdown, things like these.
You have only 2 types of ammunition physical ammunition and energy ammunition.
So far i honestly didn't figured out if that is needed to defeat certain enemies, or if that is only to divide the ammo in two fractions. But all weapons you got either use physical ammo or energy ammo.

The game itself comes in a dark cyberpunk atmosphere and cutscenes are presented in a (serious) comic style. Both are quite fitting to each other and i think they are well executed. The graphics of the game are well done, it's not overwhelming, but still good.
