(English below) Pues me di cuenta de que el source port Hammer of Thyrion, entre las versiones para diversos sistemas operativos que tiene, una es un port para MS-DOS. Hexen 2 salió directamente para Windows 95. Normalmente cuando juegas a un juego clásico en un source port es para jugarlo en un sistema más moderno. Así que me ha parecido curioso que se pueda jugar en un sistema operativo más antiguo que para el que fue lanzado.

¿Y quien va a querer jugarlo en MS-DOS? Pues por curiosidad, como yo, o gente que tiene un PC antiguo para jugar a juegos retro. Yo no conservo ninguno, así que lo juego en DOSBox ECE, en donde funciona perfectamente. Bueno, juego a una resolución de 800x600 (aunque grabado a 4K) porque a más los fps caen en algunas situaciones, no sé si mala optimización del port, de DOSBox o ambos. Juego con un i9-13900K.

En cualquier caso, jugarlo así, en baja resolución (para los tiempos actuales, en aquella época para mi jugar a 800x600 era como alta resolución) y en modo software sin las texturas sin filtrar (yo cuándo lo jugué en su época, fue con aceleración gráfica 3DFX con una Voodoo Banshee), le da cierto encanto retro, ¿no creéis?
