One thing that high (character) level gameplay shows in any of the FromSoftware SoulsBorne games is that the games are considered hard not because they are unfair but rather because most players try only one strategy until it doesn't work, level up until it works again, and then do that in a loop. In Elden Ring this results in most players just spamming powerful unique skills and ashes of war because they do a lot of damage with questionably cheap FP costs.
