Ok, so the point of this boss fight is simple. You destroy his bracelets and in turn huge chunks of health just slough off High Lord Wolnir. The problem comes when you're not aware you CANNOT be under or behind him without being in a fog of constant damage.

He makes wide sweeping arcs with his arm (and presumably sword when that spawns), can slam down, and can summon skeletons as if it wasn't chaotic enough. I'm not sure if you can be "pushed off" the land if you take forever but I'd recommend aggression here to combat that possibility.
