Highlight: Warframe (PS4) - Sortie with Sevagoth
I haven't uploaded one of those recently. Same info as the SP incurions.
How should I start this. I can't recommend Sevagoth in his current state. Harsh I know but unfortunately thats the reality of things.
Looking at him or even observing gameplay you can't quite tell - well he ain't that great/good. On the opposite you might draw a wrong conclusion.
Currently he is mostly walking claws (with his exalted weapon) and pull - his 1 on the Shadow form. Those 2 plus the warframe complete a package of 3 things you can mod - or you guessed right - forma sink :). Give me thA money DE.
So claws are fine and you can spam pull. Issues with that is you can just use melee for what the claws achieve and they have rather pathethic range and attack speed :(. Lack some decent hit box and verticallity. Pull is great - a tad slow but ends up stucking enemies into all sort of terrain. Which leads to disappointing results - due to how maps and many object models are spread around em.
Why do I not speak much about Sevagoth himself - well he has 1 and 2 - which should work together by design that do shit vs anything on higher levels. That includes non steel path enemies. Around lvl 50-60 the combo is just not doing much. Sadly you rely on them and your 3rd - the big AoE slow which sucks you drain of energy even with 75% increased efficiency - to fill your so called soul meter or whatever so you can use your shadow by pressing 4.
In the end Sevagoth feels messy, incomplete, underdeveloped. With some falshes of fine. Shadow moves controls and overall plays clunky - which is something of a warframe trademark at this point. The frame and shadow have very low amount of HP as well. Your survivability depends on outside factors or your 3 that slows enemies. Well you can slow em up 95% but you can't stop em from shooting ladies and gentelmen - so you end up feeling naked and death. I did put rolling guard on both forms (not maxed one) so at least I can have a short amount of time doing something - especially in shadow form before I got booted into Sevagoth. Due to 1 and 2 doing nothing on steel path enemies you can't even fill up your meter to turn into shadow and just have to use melee (cause guns majourite of guns are yet to become efficient).
I prolly missed some points - for example shadow form can't pick objects :(, at least in excavation. Using operator in Shadow form brings you back to Sevagoth. You cant steer when you shoot yourself with Shadow form 2nd ability (yet another bad wf tradition) so you end hitting walls and what not. Seva 1 shoots a forward shadow too which you can aim to point direction - why is the shadow not chasing byitself is beyond reason. Again a lot ability effects on screen are barely visible etc.
Hopefully after some buffs and fixes, plus smoothing out gameplay (for the last don't hold your breath it won't happen) - he will turn into a decent frame. For now he is the 2nd in row of disappointment and clunk (with Lavos). -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/freebiebg
