Higurashi Console Arcs (Pt 68): More People Come Into the Fold & Piece Together Takano's Motive
3[BLIND LET'S PLAY]
Rika is miraculously found unharmed in her home by Keiichi, with Rika not knowing how she got there. Shortly after, they receive a call from Akasaka, who inform them that Teppei Houjou's corpse was discovered, which leads them and Neo to conclude that Tomitake must still be alive.
Keiichi, Rika and Akasaka agree to meet at the Irie Clinic, and upon arriving they discover that Ooshi is also present and is aware of something big going down in Hinamizawa, and at the same time Irie is also approached by the group with the goal to try and pry information about Takano and Tokyo out of him. Deciding to formally bring Ooshi and Irie into the fold, Rika, Akasaka and Keiichi bring Ooshi and Irie up to speed with not only what has been recently happening in the village, but Ooshi finally learns the true nature of "Oyashiro-sama's curse" and how it ties into the death of the Hinamizawa Dam Construction Manager.
From there, the group then puts their heads together to try and figure out what exactly Takano hopes to gain from killing Rika, and eventually they figure out the reason, along with the fact that Takano is more than likely being used by Tokyo as part of an internal power struggle.
Towards the end of these conversations, Irie accidentally reveals that Satoshi Houjou is being kept at the Irie Clinic, forcing him to explain to Keiichi and everyone else how he ended up under Irie's care in complete secrecy. Eventually, the group leaves the Irie clinic, with Akasaka heading out of the village to try and go after the mastermind behind Takano, while everyone else continues holding out on the home front.
Things get complicated, however, when it's revealed the following day that word of Satoshi's whearabouts has already reached the ears of a VERY specific person, who promptly decides act on said information and pays a visit to the Irie Clinic...
