[BLIND LET'S PLAY]

Reuniting with Akasaka, Rika introduces the man to Keiichi and brings him up to speed on events that have transpired since the two of them last met, as well as informing Akasaka of their pursuit of Takano and the organization that she works for, "Tokyo". Akasaka promises to do everything in his power to help Rika and Keiichi deal with this threat. With the three of them now working together, they decide to come up with a plan to get Tomitake involved and learn of Takano's plan to kill all of Hinamizawa, since Tomitake, being a liason for Tokyo, would be in the position to investigate and put a stop to such plans.

To this end, Rika arranges for a meeting with Tomitake at the Furude Shrine, where she tells Tomitake some creative lies that would help point him in the right direction if he chose to look into them, and fortunately for everyone the plan ends up being a success, as Tomitake later indeed learns of the plan to genocide the village and tries to confront Takano about it... only for HIM to end up finding himself running for his life.

Around this time, Rika, somehow sensing what is going on with Tomitake, tries to intervene along with Keiichi, although they are seemingly too late in reaching Tomitake before he ends up getting shot by the Mountain Dogs and falls into Onigafuchi Swamp...

... and to make matters worse, Rika ALSO takes a fall into the swamp...
