Neo doesn't have much left to go for the Kotohugushi Arc, so he aims to try and finish the remainder of it in this stream. He feels conflicted, because on one hand he's been enjoying this Arc quite a bit, but on the other hand he more or less knows what's coming thanks to later canonical events and still can't help but dread how this Arc is going to end even if he's not quite sure as to the exact specifics over what will end up taking place.
And finish this arc, Neo does. Long story short, it leaves him a sad and depressed wreck.
