Players take on the role of mysterious, nameless Hitman, codenamed "47", whose perfectly lean body and UPC-stamped head indicate a somewhat unnatural childhood. Waking up one day in a cell, he escapes his imprisonment and is shortly contacted by the Agency, an organization as mysterious as himself. Offering a job in what he does best (delivering death), he embarks on a career as an assassin. But the shadow of his past creeps up on him...and the last thing an assassin needs is something creeping on him.
