How much repetition is too much? | Queen endgame | Soham vs Tamal
A game of chess can end in a draw in various ways. Some of the most commonly known methods apart from Statelmate are - Threefold repetition, Perpetual check, Photographic draw, 50-moves draw, Insufficient material etc.. The encounter between Soham Roy (1116) and Tamal Chakrabarty (1674) at 8th Kolkata District Chess Championship 2022, witnessed more than one of those. Can you spot which cases of draw occurred in the game? Do you know how to claim these draws in a Rapid game? The time control of the tournament was 30 minutes each without any increment.
