To activate your primary account on your PS5, follow these steps:
Step 1: Sign in to Your Account
Power on your PS5 and sign in to the account you want to set as the primary account.
If you haven't signed in yet, create a new PlayStation Network (PSN) account or sign in with your existing account.
Step 2: Open Settings
From the Home Screen, navigate to the Settings menu by selecting the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Step 3: Go to Users and Accounts
In the Settings menu, scroll down and select Users and Accounts.
Step 4: Select Other
In the Users and Accounts section, scroll down and select Other.
Step 5: Enable Console Sharing and Offline Play
Choose Console Sharing and Offline Play.
Select Enable to activate your PS5 as the primary console for your account.
What this does: This allows the account to share its PlayStation Plus subscription, digital games, and other benefits with other users on the same PS5. It also enables offline play for downloaded games.
Step 6: Confirm the Activation
Once enabled, your PS5 will automatically be set as the primary console for your account.
If this feature was previously enabled on another PS5, it will be disabled on that console.
Step 7: Access Shared Benefits
Once your PS5 is set as the primary console:
Other users on the same console can access your PlayStation Plus, digital games, and other content without needing their own subscriptions or purchases.
