How to Add New User & Account to Nintendo Switch (Fast Tutorial)
2To add a new user account on your Nintendo Switch, follow these steps:
Navigate to System Settings:
From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
Create a New User:
Scroll down to highlight Users and then select Add User.
If the “Add User” option doesn’t appear, it means there are already 8 user accounts on the system. You’ll need to delete an existing user before adding a new one.
Customize the New User:
Choose an icon to associate with the account. You can select from various options.
Enter a nickname for the new user. Keep in mind that other players will see this nickname, so avoid personal information.
Confirm your nickname selection.
Link a Nintendo Account (Optional):
You’ll be given the option to link a Nintendo Account to the user account.
If you want to use online features, linking a Nintendo Account is necessary.
If you prefer not to link an account at this time, select Later.
Existing Nintendo Account Linking:
To link an existing Nintendo Account, select Sign In and Link.
Sign in using your Nintendo Account credentials.
Confirm that you’re linking the correct account.
Once linked, this connection cannot be undone.
Create and Link a New Nintendo Account (Optional):
If you don’t have a Nintendo Account, select Create Account.
You can request an email with instructions to link your Nintendo Account using a confirmation code.
Visit the Nintendo Account website on your PC or smart device to create a new account.
