How to Fix the Motion Controls on your Nintendo Switch (Fast Tutorial)
Calibrate the Motion Controls:
Go to the System Settings on your Nintendo Switch.
Select Controllers and Sensors.
Choose Calibrate Motion Controls.
Detach the Joy-Con you want to calibrate.
Hold down the plus or minus button until the circle completes.
Remove any straps or accessories from the Joy-Con and place it on a flat surface with the stick facing up.
Repeat the same process for the other Joy-Con and the Pro Controller.
Update Firmware and System:
Ensure your Nintendo Switch has the latest system update installed.
Update the controller firmware for both Joy-Cons and the Pro Controller.
Check for Obstructions:
Make sure that nothing is covering the IR motion camera on the right Joy-Con (for Joy-Con calibration) or the IR Motion Camera on the Joy-Con ® (for Pro Controller calibration).
Remember that these steps should help resolve most motion control issues. If the problem persists, consider reaching out to Nintendo Support for further assistance.
