How to Manage Games & delete or Archive on Nintendo Switch (Fast Tutorial)
1Deleting a Digital Game:
Deleting a game removes it from your home screen and frees up space. However, it won’t delete your game save data.
Here’s how to do it:
From the Home screen, hover over the game you want to delete.
Press the + button on the right Joy-Con to bring up the game’s options menu.
Select Manage Software from the left menu.
Choose Delete Software and confirm that you want to delete the game.
The game icon will be removed from your home screen, but your save data remains intact.
Archiving a Game:
Archiving keeps the game’s icon on your home screen as a shortcut for re-downloading.
If you might want to play the game again soon, choose this option.
Here’s how to archive a game:
Follow the same steps as above to access the game’s options menu.
Select Archive Software instead of Delete Software.
Confirm that you want to archive the game.
The game will be uninstalled, but its icon remains for easy re-download.
Remember, if you need more storage, consider getting a microSD card to expand your space. Happy gaming!
