Steps to Add/Link a PS4 or PS5 to the PlayStation App
Set Up Your Console:
PS5: Go to Settings - System - Remote Play and enable Remote Play. Also, in Settings - System - Power Saving - Features Available in Rest Mode, enable Stay Connected to the Internet and Enable Turning On PS5 from Network.
PS4: Go to Settings -Remote Play Connection Settings and enable Remote Play. In Settings - Account Management, ensure the PS4 is set as your Primary PS4. Also, enable Stay Connected to the Internet in Settings - Power Save Settings - Set Features Available in Rest Mode.
Ensure your console is connected to the internet and has the latest system software.
Download and Open the PlayStation App:
Install the PlayStation App from the iOS App Store (iOS 14.0+) or Google Play Store (Android 8.0+).
Sign in with the same PlayStation Network (PSN) account used on your PS4 or PS5.
Link Your Console to the App:
Open the PlayStation App and tap the Settings icon (gear) on the home screen.
Select Link Console to App and follow the on-screen instructions.
The app will search for your PS4 or PS5 on the same network. If prompted, select PS5 or PS4 from the list of detected consoles.
Alternatively, for quicker sign-in, go to Settings - Sign in on PS5 (or PS4) in the app. A QR code will appear on your console’s screen (PS5: Settings - System - Remote Play - Link Device; PS4: Settings - Remote Play Connection Settings -Add Device). Scan the QR code with your phone or enter the code manually.
Verify Connection:
Once linked, your console will appear in the app under Game Library - Console Management or Remote Play.
You can now manage storage, download games, or start Remote Play sessions.
