How to Find Recently Deleted Photos on iPhone (Best Method)
To find recently deleted photos on your iPhone (running iOS 18 or later), follow these steps:
Open the Photos App:
Locate the Photos app on your Home Screen or in the App Library (swipe left past all Home Screen pages). If it’s locked or hidden, authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to access it.
Navigate to the Recently Deleted Album:
In the Photos app, tap Albums at the bottom.
Scroll down to the Utilities section and tap Recently Deleted.
Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode to view the album (this security feature is automatic on iOS 18 and later).
View Recently Deleted Photos:
The Recently Deleted album shows photos and videos deleted within the last 30 days. Each item displays the number of days remaining before permanent deletion.
Tap a photo to view it, recover it, or delete it permanently.
Recover or Delete Photos:
To recover a photo, tap it, then tap Recover - Recover Photo. It will return to its original album.
To delete permanently, tap Delete - Delete Photo. This action cannot be undone.
To recover or delete multiple photos, tap Select in the top-right corner, choose the photos, and tap Recover or Delete.
