How to add recovery contacts to Google
Did you know that Google now lets you add trusted contacts to help you recover your account if you ever lose it or get locked out?
Yes, it's a new Google security feature, and today we're showing you step-by-step how to activate it from your mobile device.
In this video, we explain how Google Recovery Contacts work, what they're for, and how to properly configure them within your Google account. This way, if you ever forget your password, lose your phone, or have trouble logging in, you can count on someone you trust to help you verify your identity and regain access.
The process is very simple: just go to myaccount.google.com, go to the Security tab, scroll down to the "How you sign in to Google" section, and there you'll see the Recovery Contacts option.
Then, just verify your identity, enter your password, and add the email address of that trusted person who will act as your recovery contact.
We think it's a great feature to strengthen the security of your Google account and avoid future problems. It's also available on both Android phones and computers, and it's completely free.
If you're concerned about the privacy and security of your data, this video is for you. Activate it as soon as possible and avoid losing your account. 🔒
