How to Adjust Image using Brightness, Saturation, Contrast Options on OBS (Fast Tutorial)
Adjusting the brightness, saturation, and contrast of an image in OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) can enhance the visual quality of your stream or recording. Here’s how you can do it:
Using Filters to Adjust Image Properties
Open OBS Studio:
Launch OBS Studio on your computer.
Add or Select Your Image Source:
In the Sources box, either add a new image source by clicking the + button and selecting Image, or select an existing image source that you want to adjust.
Open Filters for Your Image Source:
Right-click the image source in the Sources list.
Select Filters from the context menu.
Add a Color Correction Filter:
In the Filters window, click the + button at the bottom left and select Color Correction.
Name the filter (e.g., "Color Adjustment") and click OK.
Adjust Brightness, Saturation, and Contrast:
In the Color Correction properties, you will see sliders for various adjustments:
Brightness: Adjust this slider to make the image lighter or darker.
Saturation: Adjust this slider to increase or decrease the intensity of the colors.
Contrast: Adjust this slider to increase or decrease the difference between light and dark areas.
Move the sliders left or right to achieve the desired look.
Additional Adjustments:
Gamma: Adjust the gamma level for midtone brightness adjustments.
Opacity: Adjust the transparency of the image.
Hue Shift: Shift the hue of the colors if you want to change the overall color tone.
Contrast: Adjust this slider to increase or decrease the difference between light and dark areas.
Preview and Fine-Tune:
As you adjust the sliders, you can see the changes in real-time on your preview screen.
Fine-tune the settings until you are satisfied with the appearance of the image.
Close the Filters Window:
Once you’ve made all desired adjustments, close the Filters window.
Applying the Adjustments
Save Your Scene: Ensure your scene is saved with the adjustments by clicking File - Save or using the auto-save feature.
Monitor Live Stream/Recording: Always monitor your live stream or recording to ensure the visual quality is as expected.
By following these steps, you can easily adjust the brightness, saturation, and contrast of an image in OBS to enhance the visual quality and match the desired aesthetic of your stream or recording.
