How to Turn Off iPhone without Touch Screen (No Restart)
If your iPhone's touch screen isn't working, you can still turn it off by using the physical buttons. Here’s how:
Method 1: Using Buttons
For iPhone X, iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, and newer models:
Press and hold the Volume Up or Volume Down button along with the Side Button.
Keep holding the buttons until the power-off slider appears.
Slide the Power Off slider using the physical buttons:
Connect your iPhone to a computer or charger to trigger haptic feedback on the buttons.
Use a tool (like a stylus or another object) if the screen isn’t responsive.
Method 2: Force Restart (If Buttons Don’t Work)
If the touch screen doesn’t respond, forcing a restart can simulate turning the device off and back on:
Quickly press and release the Volume Up button.
Quickly press and release the Volume Down button.
Press and hold the Side Button until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears.
Method 3: Use Assistive Technology (If Set Up Beforehand)
If AssistiveTouch is enabled, you can use it to power off:
Tap the AssistiveTouch Menu.
Select Device - More - Restart.
