Steps:
- Start by launching google maps and entering your starting point and destination. When it shows you the route, tap the 3 dots button at the top right of the screen.
- Select ‘route’ options on the popup.
- Here in route options you can choose to avoid tolls. If you always want to avoid tolls on every route you create, enable the ‘remember settings’ option. If you only want to avoid tolls on this one route then disable the remember settings option.
- Tap the back button now and your route will be updated to avoid all toll roads.
- Sometimes you don’t need to change those settings at all, as you can see in this example google has already shown an alternative route which doesn’t have tolls which is in grey, if you want to use that route , tap on it and it will change to blue meaning you will now follow that route.
