Steps:

- As you can see here I have put in a route and it is in miles, but I want to see it in kilometers instead, here is how you can change it.

- Exit out of the route so you’re at the default view of maps.

- Tap your profile icon from the top right corner of the screen.

- Select ‘settings’ from the popup menu.

- In settings, scroll down to the ‘using maps’ section and then tap on ‘distance units’.

- You can choose to always display distance units in KM or miles here.

- Now I’ve done that I can go back and create a route and my new distance units will be updated to kilometers.
