Here's another "asshole" strategy for rated single battles. It requires no skill or IV/EV optimization, but it does require some luck.

Setup for this gimmick:

1. Whimsicott
Level: 1 to 5 (the lower the max HP, the better)
Ability: Prankster
Nature: Any
EV: None
Item: Focus Sash
Attacks: Leech Seed, Substitute, Encore, Memento
(Maximize the PP of Leech Seed and Substitute.)

2. Any set-up Pokémon at Level 50+ with good type coverage.

3. (Optional) Nosepass/Probopass/Anything with Sturdy
Level: 1 to 5 (max HP 21 or under)
Ability: Sturdy
Nature: Any
EV: None
Item: Berry Juice
Attacks: Stealth Rock, Toxic, Thunder Wave, Protect


Open with #3 for better effect, as you can set up entry hazards first to deter switching. With Sturdy and Berry Juice, you should be able to set up an entry hazard, as well as hit something with a bad status, because Sturdy will trigger twice. (This will not work if your opponent uses a multi-hit attack that hits 3+ times.)

* Please note this gimmick will not work against a lot of things, including Grass-types, anything with damaging priority attacks (except Fake Out - just use Encore), and anything with the "Magic Bounce", "Magic Guard", or "Infiltrator" Ability.
