How to Build Medieval Houses in Minecraft - Part 5 (Detailing)
Detailing is the fourth step in building Medieval builds in Minecraft using the HM3 system created by ItsCheif from TeamWnJ.
Detailing involves adding minor tiny details that support the main build by adding realism- you will learn about:
Buttresses- used to support a building as to not allow it to topple over, represented in Minecraft using cobblestone stairs (67).
Jettying- although jettying/extrusions were already done during the scaffolding video, we can add buttons on the outstretched parts of the upper floors of the buildings to show that the piece of log supporting the upper floors are indeed connected. We can also add a piece of reverse dark oak stair on the underside of jettied bits to show that it is being supported.
Finally, fire is the main source of warmth, especially in the medieval days- thus, a fireplace is needed. I show you one design of a fireplace and how we can use reverse stairs to create an illusion of a full fireplace.
