About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to buy a Minecraft server with SimpleGameHosting. We show you everything from how to host a Minecraft server running vanilla, how to add modpacks to your Minecraft server, and even how to get plugins on a Minecraft server meaning that no matter what you can buy a Minecraft server and do exactly what you want with it.
To get started, navigate to the SimpleGameHosting website using the lin in the description above. Once you are there, you will be able to see the best Minecraft server hosting. Click “Get Started, and you will go to where you can see all of the Minecraft server hosting packages.
Once you are there, you will need to buy your Minecraft server. The kind of server you want is what will determine the amount of RAM you need for your server. For a vanilla server with just two players, a 2GB server is good. For most modded server, at least 6GB if not 8GB is recommended. There is RAM calculator to help you choose the perfect amount of RAM for your server.
After you have purchased your server, you will receive an “Account Created” email. Click the button in this email to create your game panel account.
With your Minecraft server created, you will have the version or modpack you selected already installed. You can also install another modpack using the “Modpacks” tab in the control panel. It is super easy to switch modpacks. If you want a different version like switching from Forge to Fabric, that can be done from the “Versions” tab.
In the control panel, your server’s IP address is in the top right of the “Console” tab. Click this, and it will copy. Now, all you need to do to play on your Minecraft server is paste this in the multiplayer tab in-game when it asks for the server address.
If you are playing Minecraft with a modpack, you will also need to play the modpack through the modpack launcher that the modpack is hosted on. If you adding individual mods to your server, you will need to add those to your local mods folder as well. Sadly, this is a limitation with modded Minecraft.
If you are hosting a vanilla or plugin Minecraft server though, you will be able to join with vanilla Minecraft without any issues or doing anything on your local computer
