AppleCare+ is a great way to protect your iPhone or iPad. However, that protection comes at a hefty price. Whether you're switching to a different warranty program for your iPhone or iPad, or you no longer want that coverage, Apple makes it easy to cancel AppleCare+. The biggest thing to keep in mind when cancelling AppleCare+ is that after the service expires you can't re-enroll your device in the program.
Now let's walk through the steps to cancel AppleCare+ on your Apple iPhone or iPad.
Step 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad. You'll land on the Settings screen.
Step 2. Tap the section featuring your name and profile pictures displayed at the top of this menu. Your Apple ID screen is shown.
Step 3. Tap "Subscriptions" in this menu. The Subscriptions screen is displayed, where you'll see a list of all of the subscriptions associated with your Apple ID.
Step 4. Tap "AppleCare+" in your list of subscriptions. The next screen gives you an overview of your AppleCare+ subscription.
Step 5. Tap "Cancel Subscription." A Confirm Cancellation window pops up letting you know what date your AppleCare+ subscription expires, and that AppleCare+ can't be renewed after it expires for that device.
Step 6. Tap "Confirm." Your AppleCare+ subscription is now cancelled and will not renew. To be clear, you'll still have it through the expiration date.
