How to Change Internet from WIFI to LAN on PS4 Console (Easy Tutorial)
To change the internet connection from Wi-Fi to LAN (wired) on a PS4 console, follow these steps:
Prepare Equipment:
Ensure you have an Ethernet cable (LAN cable) long enough to reach from your PS4 to your router or modem.
Make sure your PS4 and router/modem are both powered on.
Connect the LAN Cable:
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the LAN port on the back of your PS4.
Plug the other end of the Ethernet cable into an available LAN port on your router or modem.
Configure Network Settings:
Turn on your PS4 if it's not already on.
Navigate to the PS4 Home Screen by pressing the PS button on your controller.
Go to "Settings" by scrolling right on the Home Screen.
Scroll down and select "Network".
Select "Set Up Internet Connection".
Choose "Use a LAN Cable" when prompted.
Configure Connection Settings:
Select "Easy" to automatically configure the network settings. The PS4 will attempt to detect the settings automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Test the Connection:
Once the settings are configured, the PS4 will test the connection. If everything is set up correctly, it should establish a wired LAN connection.
Restart the PS4 (Optional):
It's a good practice to restart your PS4 after changing network settings. This can help ensure that the new connection is functioning properly.
