To change the parental control passcode (console restriction passcode) on a PlayStation 5 (PS5) account, follow these steps:

Sign in as the Family Manager: Use the adult account designated as the family manager to log in to the PS5.

Go to Settings: From the PS5 home screen, select the gear icon in the top-right corner to open Settings.

Navigate to Family and Parental Controls: Select Family and Parental Controls - PS5 Console Restrictions.

Enter the Existing Passcode: Input the current console restriction passcode. If you haven’t set one before, the default passcode is 0000.

Change the Passcode: Select Change Your Console Restriction Passcode. Enter a new four-digit passcode using the corresponding buttons on the controller (e.g., X, O, Square, Triangle for digits). Choose a memorable passcode that’s not easily guessed.

Confirm the New Passcode: Re-enter the new passcode to confirm it.
Save Changes: The new passcode will now be set for console restrictions.
