How to Change the Name of your Xbox Series X (Console Info)
4If you’d like to change the name of your Xbox Series X, you can follow these steps:
On Your Xbox Console:
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to Profile & system.
Select your Xbox profile (or choose “Choose a profile” and sign in to your account if needed).
Go to My profile - Customize profile.
Under “Choose your new gamertag”, enter the gamertag you want in the available text box.
Select “Check availability” to verify if the desired gamertag is available.
On the Web:
Visit the official Xbox website.
Sign in with the Microsoft account associated with your Xbox profile.
Confirm that you’re signed in to the right account by checking your current gamertag in the top-right corner.
Enter the new gamertag you want in the text box and select “Check availability”.
If the desired gamertag is available, review how it will look across Xbox services, and if satisfied, select “Claim it”.
